The inspiration of the nose, Aliénor Massenet (who composed the men’s fragrance New York - Mercer Street) from Symrise: “To recreate the very distinctive atmosphere of Karl’s beloved city, I wanted to work with a classic structure elevated by a hint of impertinence. A way of celebrating the freethinkers of the previous century, their unconventional ideas and their undeniable influence on Vienna’s history and renown.” A MODERN SHOWCASE The bottles of the PLACES BY KARL collection, identical for both the eau de parfum and the eau de toilette (in 100 ml and 60 ml versions), reveal the clean lines of glass apothecary vials – objects whose minimalist, unpretentious look Karl Lagerfeld loved. The label of each fragrance bottle is a reference to the couturier’s drawings, made from textured white paper framed by a red border. It features the iconic “Karl” signature in black lettering.
